The role of the private sector in the decision making processes of public research
The European Commission's Research DG has published a call for tenders for a study on private sector interaction in the decision making processes of public research. The study comes in the context of the Lisbon Strategy, which aims at making the European Union the most competitive and dynamic knowledge based society in the world by 2010, and the Barcelona European Council objective of increasing research spending to three per cent of GDP in the ERA. It will provide a better understanding of how to improve private sector involvement in the decision making processes of research policies, so as to achieve better use of investments in public research to stimulate increases in privately funded research (better leveraging of public funded research). For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Research Attn: Manuel Godinho de Matos SDME 9/83 B-1049 Brussels Tel +32-2 295 3764 Fax +32-2 296 7026 E-mail: manuel.godinho-de-matos@cec.eu.int To see the full details of the call, please http://ted.publications.eu.int/udl?REQUEST=Seek-Deliver&LANGUAGE=en&DOCID=128492-2004(opens in new window) click here
