The European Commission's Information Society and Media Commission has published a call for tenders for the move towards a European e-infrastructure for e-science digital repositories. The contract is to provide a reliable overview of European digital repositories of e-science information, data and knowledge. To achieve that, the contractor will interface relevant scientific communities in different Member States and analyse their approach to developing digital repositories of experimental data sets, journals, theses and associated information. An important aspect of the study will be to collect information and analyse the degree of interoperability of the different approaches and technologies. The contractor will also study possible scenarios to build upon common requirements and synergies so that a layer of digital repositories can develop as part of the European research e-infrastructure.For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Information Society and Media Attn: Elina Zicmane J-54 01/93 B-1049 Brussels Tel +32-2 295 2077 Fax +32-2 299 3127 To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://cordis.europa.eu/fp6/dc/index.cfm?fuseaction=UserSite.FP6CallsPage
