The European Commission's Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities has issued a call for tenders for a study on labour mobility within the EU in the context of enlargement and the functioning of transitional measures. The study will focus on assessing recent and future mobility from the EU-8 (Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia) Member States to the EU-15 Member States, from the EU-2 (Bulgaria, Romania) Member States to the EU-25 Member States, and from the candidate countries to the EU-27 Member States. Firstly, it will aim to assess the functioning of the transitional arrangements, the impact of enlargement and effects of workers' mobility from the EU-8 and EU-2 Member States on the economy, labour markets and social situation in the EU, including country-specific assessments. Secondly it will estimate the mobility potential from the EU-8 and EU-2 Member States and candidate countries. For further information, please contact: European Commission Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities DG EMPL/D/1 Attn: Mr Radek Maly, Head of Unit Rue Joseph II 27, 5/79 B-1049 Brussels Contact point: Magdalena Grzegorzewska Tel: +32 2 298 71 78 Fax: +32 2 296 91 55 E-mail: magdalena.grzegorzewska@ec.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:111345-2007:TEXT:EN:HTML
