The European Commission's Environment Directorate General has issued a call for tenders for a study on the cost of policy inaction (COPI): the case of not meeting the 2010 biodiversity target. The aim of the present contract is to provide an exhaustive inventory of the economic valuations of biodiversity performed so far, to analyse and to present it in a coherent framework, illustrating the impact of not meeting the 2010 biodiversity target globally, and helping setting priorities within the field of biodiversity conservation in the EU, for example by the use of highly aggregated physical indicators, showing changes per biome and per pressure factor and, to the extent possible, how this translates into economic costs. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General Environment Markets Team, F.2 - Finance BU-5 00/169 B-1049 Brussels Tel +32 2 296 00 08 Fax +32 2 299 44 49 E-mail: env-tenders@ec.europa.eu To see the full details of the call, please consult the following web address: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:116033-2007:TEXT:EN:HTML
