Commission calls for feedback on IPR study
The European Commission is asking stakeholders to provide feedback on the first reports of a wide-ranging study on intellectual property rights (IPR) issues. The study, entitled 'Monitoring and analysis of technology transfer and intellectual property regimes and their use', aims to foster the development and use of European intellectual property systems in a research policy perspective. It investigates a number of specific research and development-related intellectual property issues, including the experimental use exception and prior user rights. Fact sheets outlining the main features of the IP regimes of individual countries have also been developed. The first analyses and recommendations of the project are now available, and the Commission is inviting all stakeholders (from universities, industry, national administrations, etc.) to study these and provide feedback on them.
