State aid for Italian R&D projects
The European Commission has raised no objections to the Italian Government's plan to fund three national R&D projects. The first project relates to studies on innovative processes for hot coil production based on strip casting technology and acquisition of design parameters for the realization of an industrial plant. The second concerns the production of alloy steel thin slabs (stainless, carbon, electrical steels) by means of innovative machinery and processes in continuous casting. The third project relates to a new manufacturing process for the production of low thickness oriented grain steel sheets for energy saving.
