Inventory and distribution of tasks relating to food
The European Commission adopted on 20 September 1994 a Decision establishing the inventory and distribution of tasks to be undertaken within the framework of cooperation by Member States in the scientific examination of questions relating to food. The inventory of tasks, provided in the Annex to the Decision, covers the following subjects: - Flavouring substances; - Microbiology; - Contaminants; - Intake and exposure assessments. Each Member State will designate an institute to carry out the tasks. The institutes will provide the Commission with a progress report on the accomplishment of their tasks.
