Call for proposals for security research under the 2011 and 2012 work programmes of the Seventh Framework Programme
The European Commission has published a call for proposals for security research under the 2011 and 2012 work programmes of the Seventh Framework Programme. A secure Europe is the basis for planning lives, economic investments, prosperity and freedom. The 'Security' theme contributes to the implementation of EU external policies, the creation of an EU-wide area of freedom, justice and security and to policy areas such as transport, health, civil protection, energy, development and environment. The theme also contributes to the Europe 2020 strategy and its Innovation Union flagship initiative, by promoting growth and employment in general, stimulating innovation, enhancing the competitiveness of European industry, closing the gap between research and market, ensuring a better involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises, responding more rapidly to current needs and enhancing international cooperation. This call covers a variety of activities, including: - 'Increasing the security of the citizens'; - 'Security of infrastructures and utilities'; - 'Intelligent surveillance and border security'; - 'Restoring security and safety in case of crisis'; - 'Security systems integration, interconnectivity and interoperability'; - 'Security research coordination and structuring'.To see the official call announcement, please consult: OJ No C 213 of 20 July 2011(opens in new window) and the following link(opens in new window)
