ERA-NET SIINN First Call for Proposals
The 'Safe implementation of innovative nanoscience and nanotechnology' (SIINN) ERA-NET has launched a call for proposals. ERA-NET SIINN promotes the safe and rapid transfer of European research results in nanoscience and nanotechnology into industrial applications. It brings together fragmented research activities on the potential risks of engineered nanomaterials for environment, human health and safety. Funding will be offered to innovative projects focusing on commercially relevant manufactured nanomaterials (MNMs) in one of the following thematic fields: - establishment and development of models and methods for analytical tools, theoretical prediction and characterisation; - exposure assessment; - studies on the impact of MNMs on the environment. Project consortia consisting of at least three parties from at least two different participating countries can apply for funding. The projects themselves must last between two and three years. For more information on the call, please visit: http://www.siinn.eu/bin/SIINN_Pre-Announcement_First_Call.pdf(opens in new window)
