The European Commission has published a call for proposals entitled 'Support to trans-national networks of incubators for social innovation'. The document is part of the latest set of calls published under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Incubators are key to social innovation. They enable the transfer and application of successful local experiments across Europe, thereby spreading good ideas and innovations. Up to two networks will be funded by the Commission, with a total budget of EUR 2 million. Their role will consist in: - Assessing and selecting social innovations that have been successful at local level; - Ensuring that the professional services (legal and financial advice, coaching, etc.) needed to scale up these social innovations are provided; - Supporting the scaling-up process with relevant activities. The call comes under Coherent Development of Research Policies (CDRP) work programme, which supports the development of evidence, tools and processes that will help policymakers develop and implement coherent and effective research and innovation policies. To see the official call announcement, please consult: Participant Portal To see partnership requests for this call, please consult: CORDIS Partners Service
