The European Joint Research Centre has published a call for tender for the execution of routine control work in accordance with the Department for Radiation Protection of the Institute of Transuranium Elements in Karlsruhe within the framework of a service contract. The contract includes: - The repeated testing of radiation protection and control instruments; - Routine inspection of the Institute's premises for contamination; - The collection of radioactive waste from laboratories in use. The scope of the work requires 3,500 to 4,500 man-hours per year and can generally be carried out by two persons on workdays. The duration of the contract is for one year. It will commence on 1 July 1995, and may be renewed a maximum of four times.
