New Special: European IP Helpdesk Releases Information Package on Intellectual Property Licensing

With knowledge being one of the driving forces of modern-day economies, intellectual property (IP) has become a central business asset. Among the different pathways SMEs can choose from to effectively bring their inventions to the market and turn their IP into profit, licensing undoubtedly plays a central role.

Following a comprehensive Bulletin edition dealing with Intellectual Property Licensing in May 2019 (https://bit.ly/2VZ0jhn(se abrirá en una nueva ventana)) the European IP Helpdesk has now released an online "IP Special" on the same topic. The package contains a short animated clip, an infographic and a case study as a practical example. A short clip gives a general introduction to the context and different aspects of IP Licensing and is available on YouTube (https://youtu.be/Py-JrRPrB10(se abrirá en una nueva ventana)). It takes a variety of different ingredients to prepare a good licence agreement: The included infographic (https://bit.ly/2VNzFYu(se abrirá en una nueva ventana)) will provide you with an overview of the "key ingredients" to be considered. The third part of the special contains a practical point of view: A case study (https://bit.ly/2VN1DUn(se abrirá en una nueva ventana)) elaborates the example of the German clean-tech SME Orcan Energy which has successfully licensed out to China. The European IP Helpdesk team invites all interested stakeholders, institutions and initiatives to share the new publication package or individual parts of it via their channels and networks.
