The European research project INCASI holds its final Global Meeting and celebrates the 99% execution of secondments.

The coordinating institution of the project met with the beneficiary universities of Europe and partners of Latin America in Barcelona (Spain) on November 20 to 23, 2019, to present the results of the last stage of the research project.

Pedro López Roldán coordinator of the network belonging to the Institut d'Estudis del Treball (IET) and Sandra Fachelli, Task manager and researcher of the Grup d'Investigació en Educació y Treball (GRET) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and professor of the Sociology Department of Universidad de Pablo de Olavide, met on November 20, 21, 22 and 23 in Barcelona, Spain, with the European and Latin American Main Responsible Investigators: Màrius Domínguez from the Universitat de Barcelona, Ildefonso Marqués-Perales from the Universidad de Sevilla, Laura Oso from the Universidade da Coruña, José Saturnino Martínez García from the Universidad de La Laguna, Leandro Sepúlveda from the Middlesex University, Eriikka Oinonen from the Tampereen Yliopisto, Renata Semenza from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Vincenzo Fortunato from the Università della Calabria, Julie Jarty from the Université de Toulouse Jean Jaurès, Eduardo Chávez Molina from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Agustín Salvia from the Universidad Católica Argentina, Leticia Muñiz Terra from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Patricia Scarponetti from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Marcelo Boado from the Universidad de la República, Gabriela Rubilar from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Paulina Benítez from the Universidad de Concepción, Emmanuelle Barozet from the Universidad de Chile, Graziela Perosa from the Universidade da Sao Paulo and Patricio Solís from the El Colegio de México to hold the fourth and last Global Meeting. On the 20th and 23rd November, the Academic Committee met and discussed the issues related to the final balance of the project, celebrating the fact that 99% of the project objectives in terms of secondments were achieved (515 months executed over a total of 521 months scheduled) and also that 100% of the research and training activities between the 2016-2019 period have been done. The 21st and 22nd November were dedicated to the Scientific Meeting of the Network, which was held in an open and public way where the chapters of the next open book "Towards a Comparative Analysis of Social Inequality between Europe and Latin America" were presented. It synthesizes a part of the network's important scientific production. The scientific meeting was opened by Joan Miquel Verd, Director of the Centro de Estudios Sociológicos sobre la Vida Cotidiana y el Trabajo (QUIT), of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
