The European Commission, DG VII, has published a call for proposals to review the Computer Reservation System (CRS) audit guidelines first published by the Commission in 1994. The review will be carried out in the light of the experience gained in the execution of the first annual audits of CRSs operating in the EU, foreseen under Article 21 a of the Code of Conduct for CRSs (Council Regulation 3089/93). The guidelines recommend the nature and format of the report and opinion required by the code and suggest a minimum audit programme upon which the report and opinion should be based. The proposed study will obtain information from system vendors and their auditors to determine the extent to which the guidelines have been used during the audit process, and the reasons for any deviation from the suggested audit procedures. The tender documents are available from: European Commission Directorate-General for Transport DG VII/C-2 Mr. H. Hilbrecht 200 rue de la Loi (BU 33/6-5) B-1049 Brussels Tel. +32-2-2968174; Fax +32-2-2968353
