The Institute for Remote-Sensing Applications (IRSA) of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published an invitation to tender for the provision of random professional services. IRSA is composed of six autonomous groups focused on different areas of research within the field of remote sensing: - Agricultural Information Systems (AIS); - Advanced Techniques (AT); - Environmental Mapping and Modelling (EMAP); - Marine Environment (ME); - Monitoring Tropical Vegetation (MTV); - Centre for Earth Observation (CEO). The institute is currently looking for organizations to provide, on a periodic basis, the following services: - Research and consultancy on the application of remote-sensing techniques to: . Agriculture; . Oceanography; . Tropical forestry; . Earth observation in general; . Geographical information systems; . Land use; . Vegetation; - Technical assistance and consultancy in the following areas applied to remote-sensing activities: . Informatics; . Database management; . Programming; . Image processing; .
