Opening the door to organic aquaculture
Aquaculture can offer a path towards food security, but that path must also lead towards food sustainability. Blazing the way is EUAqua.Org a project dedicated to enhancing the organic farming of Atlantic salmon, European sea bass, gilthead sea bream and rainbow trout. The project is developing the phenotyping, genotyping and genomic prediction technologies needed to advance sustainable organic aquaculture, and providing the necessary training to ensure these tools are being readily used by breeding companies and fish farmers.
