The report covers the Institute's activities for the year, including its: - Contribution to the final phase of the Third R&TD Framework Programme, in particular through activities in specific research programmes on issues involving global change and environmental chemicals; - Scientific and technical support for Community policies, including the environment, nuclear safety, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, cosmetics and food; - Exploratory work, such as absolute chemical analysis by laser, surface enhanced raman scattering, separation science and atmospheric aerosol tracers; - Work for third parties; - Participation in Eureka activities.
