Technical assistance for transport infrastructure projects
The European Commission, DG XVI, has published a restricted invitation to tender for the provision of technical assistance relating to projects co-financed by the Cohesion Fund in the area of transport infrastructure. The call for requests to participate is restricted to consultants, and legal persons, with the ability to provide highly qualified and experienced personnel. The Commission envisages inviting tenders from six to fifteen of those expressing interest. The contract offered will be to provide general technical assistance concerning projects submitted to the Cohesion Fund in the area of transport infrastructure (roads, railways, combined transport, ports, air transport). The contractor(s) will be called upon to assist the management of the Cohesion Fund in its duties of analysis, evaluation and monitoring of projects, submitted by recipient Member States, by way of different missions to be defined on a case by case basis. Consultants will be required to provide both technical and economic expertise. The contract will be concluded for a period of three years, and the work will be carried out at the Commission's headquarters in Brussels, and in Greece, Spain, Ireland, and Portugal, the recipient countries. Requests to participate should contain information regarding the service provider's position, and ability to carry out the contract, including principal references from past years, and curricula vitae of personnel likely to undertake the activities contracted.
