The Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) unit of the European Parliament, calls for expressions of interest from potential contractors (universities, research institutes, consultancy firms and individual researchers) for the provision of professional research services, and directly related ancillary services in connection with the organization of scientific meetings and presentation of reports (Note that special procedures, published separately, cover contracts under the STOA Fellowship arrangement). A register will be drawn up of available contractors who have provided evidence of competence in specific areas of expertise. Organizations and individuals on the register will be invited to participate in future Restricted Calls for Tenders for the selection of contractors to assist STOA in the execution of a project in its annual Workplan (provided that they have notified expertise in the area of the project in question). If requested by sufficient numbers, STOA will also draw up a register of subcontractors, with a view to communicating it to such main contractors as may be selected. Expressions of interest should include relevant information on the character, size and competences of the organization, its past work, publications and staff qualifications, and enclosing representative evidence of studies, publications, conference programmes, as appropriate.There is no application form.
