Research into European integration
The Forward Studies Unit of the European Commission has launched a call for expressions of interest with the intention of drawing up a list of potential contractors to conduct surveys or other research contracts in the field of European integration. All or some of the contractors on the list will be contacted, on the basis of their experience and suitability for the contract concerned, when a contract is to be concluded. The list will be divided into four sublists, corresponding to the four fields outlined below: - The legitimacy of European integration; - Managing European integration under conditions of geopolitical and socio-economic transition; - European integration and the social fabric in Europe; - Governance and European integration. Interested persons are strongly encouraged to obtain a copy of the full work programme of the Forward Studies Unit from the Commission before expressing interest. Members of the existing network of correspondents of the Forward Studies Unit are encouraged to submit expressions of interest, especially if they have acquired new capabilities. The lists will remain in force for a period of three years. The essential criteria for candidates are a proven aptitude for research and analytical work in relevant fields. Interested parties are likely to be research institutes and consultancies with an international reach. Contracts may be offered to groups of contractors, particularly to broaden the geographical scope of studies.
