The European Commission, DG VII, has launched an open call to tender for a study on rule-making and standardization in air traffic management (ATM).

The study should investigate deficiencies in the current rule-making/standardization process in ATM and make proposals for improvements. These should be aimed at facilitating the functioning of the internal market and supporting the development of a Community industrial policy in this sector.

The study is a follow-up to the analysis carried out on the same subject by the European Commission during the preparation of the White Paper on ATM - Freeing Europe's airspace (COM(96) 57).
