The Commission calls for applications for the action programme for the development of continuing vocational training in the European Community (FORCE), 1991-1994. The call is published in order to give interested parties the time necessary to locate partners and prepare proposals to be submitted in the framework of the following measures: - An exchange scheme to promote the rapid dissemination of innovations in continuing vocational training and a significant improvement in access to it; - Preparatory work on the design and development of transnational or cross-frontier continuing vocational training pilot schemes with a view to promoting the transfer of information and know-how in the Community; - The exchange of experience between socioprofessional organizations, workers' and employers' organizations and other parties concerned, in order to encourage the dissemination of innovatory contractual agreements; - Transnational cooperation between experts to analyse and forecast trends in demands for qualifications and occupations. As strong competition is expected for the different measures, applicants are encouraged to present only applications which are detailed and carefully prepared and which meet the criteria set out in the application documentation. A Vade-mecum and a Guide, describing conditions for eligibility plus the content and manner of presenting applications, are available in each official Community language from the FORCE National Coordination Units in all Member States (addresses as listed in the Official Journal) and from: FORCE Technical Assistance Office rue du Nord 34 B-1000 Brussels
