DELTA workshop proceedings: learning technology markets and standards
The DELTA workshop "Markets and standards for advanced learning technology", held in Milanfiori on 11 December 1990, covered three main themes relevant to technology-based learning: Markets; standards and conventions; effectiveness. A booklet based on presentations given at the workshop is available, free of charge, from the DELTA Central Office. For each theme the document includes a presentation of the issues by Commission staff, the transcript of a major speech given by an invited expert and abstracts of supporting presentations by other invited experts. The overall aim in collecting these papers is to offer both a synthesis of the findings of the 1988-1990 DELTA Exploratory Action in the crucial areas of market and standards and to provide a base-line for further research in the area of telematic systems for flexible and distance learning.
