CORDIS databases on CD-ROM - Edition IV/96
The latest edition of the CORDIS CD-ROM will be published in December 1996. Containing all the information from each of the nine on-line CORDIS databases, the CD-ROM is a valuable resource for those needing information on Community research and development. The CD-ROM is published quarterly, and uses the "Watch-CORDIS" interface designed for a "Windows" environment, allowing easy access to data. In addition, for users who have on-line access to CORDIS, the CD-ROM allows a unified search, combining the most recent data on-line with the CD-ROM content. This allows users to minimize connection times and therefore communications costs. The CD-ROM has search commands in English, French, German and Italian, although the database content is in English, and detailed user guides are included in these four languages. Users can print out data, obtained using simple search commands. A comprehensive range of advanced search functions allows more complex queries to be answered, including cross-database searches.
