Supply of CD-ROMs containing patent information
The European Patent Office is planning to publish an international public invitation to tender, with discretionary award of contract, on 24 February 1997. The tender will concern the supply, to the EPO, of CD-ROMs containing patent information. The European Patent Organization (EPO) is an intergovernmental organization set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention, which entered into force in 1977. At present it has 18 Member States (15 of the European Community as well as Liechtenstein, Monaco and Switzerland). The contract to be awarded relates to the supply of CD-ROMs containing patent information in the mixed mode format. The contract will start at the beginning of 1998 and run until the end of 1999. The EPO will retain the option to extend the contract by periods of one year at its own discretion. The announcement of the contract award is currently expected to take place in the second half of December 1997.
