A new homepage for the Marie Curie Fellowship Association has been launched on the CORDIS World Wide Web server. The Marie Curie Fellowship Association is open to all scientists who have successfully completed a Marie Curie Fellowship or other research training grant funded by the European Commission, and selected on the basis of independent peer review. The Web site will serve as a means of bringing Fellows into contact with each other. A full list of members will be available on the site, as will a regular newsletter. The site also provides rapid links to the latest information on Community research programmes and a discussion forum. Training grants awarded by the Commission within the Fourth RTD Framework Programme have been officially named Marie Curie Fellowships since November 1996, when the Fellowship Association was formed. The name Marie Curie was chosen to represent the scientific excellence sought by Community research. In addition, Marie Curie herself also sought to encourage the mobility of researchers.
