Innovation across cultural borders - Software package
The European Community's INNOVATION programme has now produced a downloadable version of its "Innovation across cultural borders" software package, available from the INNOVATION programme World Wide Web homepage. The "Innovation across cultural borders" tool was developed in response to the realization that many problems which occur in multi-partner research projects, such as those funded by the Community, are not of a technical nature but stem from cultural differences between partners. The package presents six case studies of examples of projects where communications have broken down because of cultural differences. The package also includes a questionnaire with which users can assess their own work and management styles and identify possible causes of problems in inter-cultural communication.
