The European Commission, DG XII, has published a call for proposals for accompanying measures under the Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme. Eligible entities are invited to submit proposals for RTD activities in Area 4 - Accompanying measures (Euroconferences, summer schools and practical training courses) of the TMR Work Programme. Euroconferences are high-level scientific meetings on a specific field of advanced research attended by young researchers and established scientists. A Euroconference project normally covers a series of meetings, each lasting several days and taking place in a closed environment. There must be between 30 and 100 participants. Summer schools are intended to provide young scientists of doctoral and post-doctoral level with advanced training. Training must be given by recognized experts from science and research. The summer courses are organized around specific scientific topics, their content being defined in advance. Interdisciplinary summer schools will be encouraged. Practical training courses are advanced courses organized in research institutes, scientific centres and industrial laboratories. Emphasis is put on practical techniques and fieldwork. Some financial support may be available through the INCO programme for participants from Central and Eastern European countries.
