Centre for Earth Observation - proposals for product promotion
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has issued a call for proposals for product promotion of earth observation products (EO). Proposals are requested from organizations seeking to promote their existing earth observation products and services. Such products and services may relate to customer segment studies undertaken for the Centre for Earth Observation (CEO). Promotion could involve the presentation or demonstration of the products at trade conferences or the production of advertising material for trade journals, promotional videos or CD-ROMs for a non-Earth Observation audience. Proposals should consider how best to promote products and services, with the option of specifying the type of promotion and the customer group targeted. Successful proposals which best meet the criteria may receive funding up to a maximum of ECU 5,000. The Centre for Earth Observation is also organizing a workshop entitled "Earth observation for customers - Oceans and coasts". This will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 2 and 3 July 1998, and aims to inform potential users about the wide range of applications of EO data and services.
