The first TIDE Congress is to take place in Brussels on 6-7 April 1993. The Congress, "Rehabilitation Technology Strategies for the European Union" will consist of 3 parallel sessions (opening on the themes of RTD results, market and service delivery, and methodology of RTD programmes) plus a poster session and Exhibition.

TIDE is the European programme aimed at stimulating the creation of a single market in rehabilitation technology in Europe through cooperation in R&D projects, standardization and harmonization of technological products and services. The focus of TIDE is to find pragmatic technical solutions that enable and empower disabled and/or elderly people by reducing their handicaps.
