‘Beyond GDP – Statistics for Everyone’ WEB-COSI Final Conference

WEB-COSI (Web Communities for Statistics for Social Innovation) is a coordination action to support collective awareness by engaging citizens and society at large in the area of statistics and new measures of social progress and well-being. The project is built on the awareness that it is essential to change cultures and enlarge the public debate on the ‘role’ of communities in the implementation of information and data related to the topics of well-being and societal progress.

The final project conference highlights the ground breaking findings of the WEB-COSI study, examines practical ways data and statistics are shaping the growth and well-being agenda and looks at how citizens (including young people) can become more actively engaged. The future priorities and policy implications for a sustainable progress based on knowledge will be examined by a panel of experts.
