The 25th Anniversary Congress of the European Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ESGCT) will take place in Berlin, Germany, at the bcc Berlin, in collaboration with the German Society for Gene Therapy DG-GT, 17 – 20 October 2017.

The event will include a Scientific Programme; Education Day Programme, Tuesday 17 October from 8.45 to 16.30 and Clinical Trial & Commercialisation Workshop, Tuesday 17 October from 9 to 16.30.

After a retrospective of work undertaken the scientific programme encompasses plenary sessions covering; Highlights of Clinical Progress, Stem Cells: biology, manipulation and reprogramming, Cancer Immuno – Gene Therapy and New Tools and Technologies: gene and genome editing and engineering. Individual workshops range across issues related to Non-viral gene therapy & Exosomes, Genotoxicity and Blood Disorders.

The Molecular Mingle 2017 networking event will take place Thursday 19th October from 20:30 in the famed 'Umspannwerk Alexanderplatz', a former electrical substation from the 1960s. It offers a fun and exciting environment in which to meet with colleagues and friends, as well as the best cultural representation of the host city and country, in terms of ambiance, entertainment, and most importantly: food!

The objective of MYOCURE is to develop an innovative gene therapy platform to cure rare hereditary muscle disorders, specifically focusing on myotubular myopathy (MTM) and glycogen storage disorder (GSD) type II.
