Manufacturing - a key technology for Europe
A panel discussion with the title 'Manufacturing - key technology for Europe' will take place on 25 April in Brussels, Belgium.
The European Commission appointed a high level group of experts from industry and research to develop a shared vision on the future of manufacturing in Europe. The resulting 'MANUFUTURE - A vision for 2020' report will be the basis for a roadmap and Technology Platform for manufacturing over the next two decades.
Against this background the panel will discuss possible strategies for ensuring Europe's competitive manufacturing position in the global market. The aim of the panel discussion is to describe how university-level institutions can specifically contribute to the MANUFUTURE vision of the way ahead for EU manufacturing.
The panel will include representatives from academia and industry, as well as the European Commission and the Minister for Science and Research in the German Land of North Rhine Westphalia.For further information, please consult the following web address:
