The final workshop of the project EURITRACK (European Illicit Trafficking Countermeasures Kit) will take place in Varese, Italy, on 11 and 12 September.

The aim of EURITRACK, which comes to an end this year, is to develop and demonstrate a non-intrusive system for the detection of explosives and other dangerous goods in cargo containers using tagged neutron beams.

Over the course of the first day, the workshop will present the initial goals and expectations of the project, as well as information on the development of components and system integration, and the outcomes of the final testing campaigns in the port of Rijeka, in Hungary.

During the second day, participants will be provided with an overview on the security research thematic area of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and on how the EURITRACK project results fit with those of ongoing initiatives and future collaborations.For more information, please visit:
