The European Patent Office is organising a conference on the patenting of computer-implemented inventions, to take place on 5 July in Brussels, Belgium.

The conference will debate the present and future implications of patenting computer-implemented inventions since the European Parliament rejected the European Commission's proposed directive.

The day will involve four different panels seeking to explore patent applications relating to information and communications technologies (ICT) from the different perspectives of the EU institutions, the European Patent Office (EPO), users and industry.

Speakers from the EU institutions, the EPO, national patent offices, national courts, industry, patent attorney offices and lobby groups will be present.For more information, please visit:
