A briefing for parliamentarians and policy-makers on 'The EU, Africa and China: opportunities and challenges of a trilateral cooperation' will take place on 29 October in Brussels, Belgium. It is organised by the EDC2020 ('European development co-operation to 2020') project, funded under the 'Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities' Theme of the Seventh Framework Programme.

The European Commission has scheduled a communication on 'The EU, Africa and China: towards a trilateral dialogue and cooperation on peace, stability and sustainable development'. Together the panellists and participants of the event will discuss this communication as well as examine which further opportunities and challenges occur, and what they imply for political decision-making, policy-making and research.

Speakers and panellists will include representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the research community.For further information, please visit:
