Conference on technology-supported learning and training, Berlin, Germany
The14th international conference on technology-supported learning and training, ONLINE EDUCA BERLIN 2008, will take place from 3 to 5 December in Berlin, Germany.
Over the three days of the conference, education and training experts from all over the world will discuss education-related topics at regional, national and international levels. Mobile learning, open educational resources, Web 2.0 applications, as well as educational games and videos are further topics of this year's event.
Combining plenary sessions, workshops, seminars and networking events, EDUCA will be dedicated to the question: Will today's teaching soon be a matter of the past? Learning professionals worldwide are concerned about what is happening in today's classrooms, as a new generation of technically savvy students - the so-called 'Generation Y' - enters universities and corporate training centres.
Following the conference opening, Generation Y is to be the key topic of studies and best-practice examples from universities, schools and corporate training. In addition, results of 'Learning 2.0 in Europe' will be presented. This international study, carried out by the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), looks into the impact of Web 2.0 trends on the field of learning and education in Europe. For further information, please visit:
