The MBR (Membrane bioreactor) Network will hold a workshop on 'Salient outcomes of European projects on MBR technology' from 31 March to 1 April 2009 in Berlin, Germany.

The workshop marks the completion of two projects which were conducted as part of the network, namely AMEDEUS ('Accelerate membrane development for urban sewage purification') and EUROMBRA ('Membrane bioreactor technology for advanced municipal wastewater treatment strategies'). The most prominent outcomes of these projects will be presented at the two-day event, which has been endorsed by the International Water Association.

The following fields will be addressed during the workshop in presentations and a poster session:
- membrane optimisation;
- fouling characterisation and control;
- module and aeration system development;
- hydraulic and biological modelling;
- advanced process control;
- full-scale engineering;
- full-scale operation and feedback on experience;
- novel hybrid MBR processes;
- market analysis.For further information, please visit:
