Third Workshop on Trustworthy Self-Organising Systems, Paris, France
Trust and its different facets are a primary concern in self-organising systems. The incorporation of trust can lead to gains with regard to performance, robustness, security and ease of use.
Formal methods to guarantee functional correctness, safety, and security have been investigated by diverse research groups from different communities. However, they have so far only been considered separately and as complementary to trust.
The relationship between a system and the user is influenced by the transparency and consistency of the system towards the user and most importantly by its usability, i.e. the way the user is informed about self-organising processes and allowed to interact with the system.
The workshop will provide a forum for discussions about the different facets of trust in self-organising systems, how they can be fostered, and how they relate. For further information, please visit: http://tsos.isse.de
