The 'SYNBIOSIS final conference- Maximising synergies for central European biotech research' will take place on 29 May 2012 in Brussels, Belgium.

The EU-supported 'Maximising synergies for central European biotech infrastructures' (SYNBIOSIS) project brings together two European research-driven clusters in the fields of biotechnology/life science and ICT. The two partner regions - South Moravia (Czech Republic) and Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) - share an interest in developing specialised research infrastructures in line with the European 'smart specialisation' paradigm.

The conference will detail the results of the project, including the ongoing cooperation between universities, research-driven clusters and businesses. It will also highlight best practices, tested in the SYNBIOSIS partner regions, which are highly replicable in other European contexts. For further information, please visit: http://www.synbiosis.org/finalconference
