'Frontiers in plant biology: from discovery to applications', Ghent, Belgium
An event entitled ''Frontiers in plant biology: from discovery to applications' will take place from 3 to 5 October 2012 in Ghent, Belgium.
Plant biology research focuses on plant population groups, in particular their evolution, physiology, structure and systematics. Subdisciplines include agronomy, forestry, horticulture, and paleobotany. The study of plants is vital because they are a fundamental part of life on Earth: they generate the oxygen and food that allow humans and other life forms to exist. Recent years have seen an explosion of new high throughput technologies which in turn have enabled groundbreaking discoveries in plant sciences.
This conference will focus on recent breakthroughs in plant biology, enabled by the latest methodological developments. Session topics will include:
- intracellular regulation;
- short range communication;
- long range communication;
- communication with the environment;
- signal integration;
- future direction.For further information, please visit: http://www.nature.com/natureconferences/fpb2012/index.html
