A one-day international conference on "How to win EC contracts" will be held in Coventry, United Kingdom, on 23 February 1995. It is organized by Coventry University in the framework of UK participation in the Fourth Framework Programme.

The aim of the conference is to present the opportunities for participation, partnership and collaboration within the specific research and technological development programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme (1994-1998).

The conference will address the following issues:

- Transnational partnerships;
- European networks;
- Drafting proposals for programmes within the Fourth Framework Programme;
- Understanding the funding mechanisms available and the contract obligations;
- Making full use of freely available information resources;
- Practical and logistical considerations;
- The value of participating;
- Producing RTD outputs from funded projects.

In addition, there will be a demonstration of electronic partner-searching databases, namely ARCADE and the CORDIS RTD-Partners databases.
