Third international workshop on catalytic combustion
The third international workshop on catalytic combustion will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 23-25 September 1996. The workshop, which is being organized jointly by Gaz de France and GASTEC NV, is the third in a series of international workshops, the last of which was held in japan in 1994.
The workshop offers a platform for the presentation and discussion of fundamental and applied research on the production of heat by catalytic combustion of natural gas. The three-day programme, aimed at university and corporate researchers and RTD managers in the field, covers a wide range of topics, from fundamental catalytic research to the construction of prototypes and field experience. The main topics to be covered include:
- (Supported) catalysts: Development, performance and stability;
- Monoliths and other supports: Development and stability;
- Mechanism and modelling;
- Applications of catalytic combustion.
The workshop will include the presentation of a number of research programmes on catalytic combustion running within the framework of the European Union's BRITE/EURAM and JOULE/THERMIE programmes.
