It is organized by ESC International in association with the Sheffield Institute of Biotechnology Law and Ethics (SIBLE).The publication of a revised European Directive on the legal protection of biotechnology has focused attention once again onto the sometimes contentious issues of the most appropriate legal protection for the results of biotechnological research.
