Business, global market and the WWW - EITC post-conference workshop
The EITC-Post-Conference Workshop "Business, Global Markets and the WWW", to be held on 28 November 1996, will address issues relating to the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) in business. The workshop is being jointly organized by Directorate-General III (Industry) and Directorate-General XIII (Telecommunications, information market and exploitation of research), the two Directorates-General most involved in fostering World Wide Web technology.
The Internet, and in particular the World Wide Web, have only recently emerged and they are already considered by many people as the early foundation and infrastructure of the Information Society. This new technology raises, inevitably, many questions with respect to its benefits for users and for businesses.
The "Business, Global Markets and the WWW" workshop will aim to address the questions raised by this new technology and offer some answers and solutions to problems encountered, in particular through the presentation of case studies from companies using the World Wide Web successfully today.
