BCR: Workshop on occupational health trends and reliability of analytical results, Dublin, March 1994

In conjunction with the National Irish Measurements and Testing Open Day (27 March), a workshop on "Occupational Health - New Trends and Reliability of Analytical Results" will take place in Dublin on 24-26 March 1994.

The three-day workshop consists of overview lectures plus a series of presentations on specialized topics. Working groups will discuss particular issues. The following fields are covered:

- Day 1: Occupational Health/Medicine. New trends in related scientific disciplines and European policies.

- Day 2: Occupational Health/Measurement. Measurement/testmethods and metrological requirements with respect to traceability.

Method-related working groups will be formed to discuss metrological requirements and will present their conclusions at a thematic round table.

- Day 3: External Quality Assessment Schemes (EQAS).

An overview on EQUAS operating in Europe will be given together with an inter-scheme comparison with respect to compatibility of laboratory performance evaluations. A plenary discussion will consider the future needs of EQUAS.
