Social sciences and humanities in Europe: new challenges, new opportunities, Brussels

The European Commission is organising a conference on 'Social sciences and humanities in Europe: new challenges, new opportunities', that will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 12 and 13 December.

The event will address the question of what strategies are needed in Europe for social sciences and humanities, and what are the best options for developing and implementing such strategies, with reference to the Commission's proposals for the Seventh Framework Programme.

The conference will have a strong international and global dimension, taking into account the international position and presence of Europe in the world, and recognising the global nature of many of the issues addressed by social sciences and the humanities.For further information, please visit:
