A seminar on making use of residues from the production of food in the food and cosmetics industries will take place in Bremerhaven, Germany, on 19 and 20 June.

The production of food results in many residues which are usually either used for animal feed or disposed of at great cost. But many of these leftovers contain valuable ingredients that can be used for the production of high quality consumer products and cosmetics.

The seminar will take place within the framework of the EU-funded BIO-ACTIVE-NET (Assessment and dissemination of strategies for the extraction of bioactive compounds from tomato, olive and grape processing residues) project.For further information, please visit:
