A workshop on making data centres and laboratories more sustainable will take place on 5 March in Luxembourg, Luxembourg.
Running laboratories and IT server rooms is energy-intensive and an obvious place for savings. However, design and equipment choice often neglect measures for energy-efficiency.
This workshop will discuss practical measures and policies to achieve potential savings by:
- identifying key requirements for the sustainable design of new data centres and laboratories;
- connecting research, users and practitioners engaged in designing, constructing and equipping laboratories and data centres;
