The Technical University of Denmark is offering a course on individual-based modelling of microbial interactions and processes using the iDynoMiCS ('Individual-based simulator for dynamics of microbial communities') software platform from 21 to 26 June in Lyngby, Denmark.

The course will provide an introduction to the techniques of individual-based modelling as applied to microbial growth in biofilm communites. It will consist of core and guest lectures, and will feature an in-depth introduction to modelling microbial systems.

By the end of the course, students will be able to use iDynoMiCS to model systems relevant to their own work without the need to write software of their own.

The course is suitable for students and researchers from the fields of environmental science, microbiology, microbial ecology, ecology, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering and physics.For further information, please click:
